Chelsea Boots Fall/Winter 2012 Footwear

Chelsea boots emerged because the 'must have' footwear item for Fall/Winter 2012 through the GDS international footwear and accessories trade fair, whilst in terms of color, cognac and red/orange tones dominated.
Running March 14-16 in the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany, the big event welcomed exhibitors from over 40 countries including Roberto Cavalli, Kenzo and PLDM by Palladium.

With buyers from throughout the world attending, the event's director Kirstin Deutelmoser found there was distinctions with regards to country -- German retailers showed particular curiosity about urban outdoor styles as an example, while foreign retailers were big on high loafers, contrast heels and rubber soles. However, many styles appealed in general, with Deutelmoser citing Chelsea boots since the "must-haves for next winter."

Buyers insisted the most important materials for Fall/Winter 2012 were leather and suede, whilst in terms of color typically nearly one out of two buyers were drawn to cognac or red/orange tones. The increasing significance of children's fashion seemed to be noted on the fair, with one inch three visitors taking a desire for kids' styles. Women's footwear was still being in highest demand (73 percent), in comparison to 44 percent for men's.
